Quick & Easy Tips: Convert Slides to Video Instantly

With COVID-19 related school closures becoming an increasingly growing concern for institutions and districts, our team wanted to address one of the biggest barriers to entry for many instructors and instructional designers: turning existing slide decks into videos.

PlayPosit's interactive video platform makes it easy for instructors to utilize existing slide decks without worrying about building new content. Using existing slide decks empowers instructors to lecture over their existing slides, add discussions at the same points in which they would happen during class, and more.

Google Slides → Video
Google Slides does not have a readily built-in option for saving slide decks as videos. However, below are instructions for the easiest way to get around this hurdle.
  1. PlayPosit offers video recording for Pro Users and certain institutional license holders. In the case that this is not an option, choose a screen recording extension of your preference.
  2. Record your Google Slides pitch using the tool.
  3. Save the recording. If you used PlayPosit, you are ready to begin building your bulb. If you used another source, you will need to upload your video as unlisted on YouTube or Vimeo. PlayPosit integrates with a variety of additional video hosts.
  4. Choose from PlayPosit's template gallery, add discussion forums, and so much more.
Record your screen and yourself directly in PlayPosit.
